Where we started and Where we are
Where we were
After twenty years of insurgency in northern Uganda, theatmosphere was marked by pain, deception, poverty, hopelessness, sin, and
shame. However, on July 3, 2016, an open-air evangelism crusade in Gulu City
led to the formation of a discipleship class with 20 new converts. This group
became the first congregation, which has since grown into a vibrant community
with a Kingdom mission, expanding to five different locations dedicated to
revealing Christ and discipling nations through church planting and community
transformation.
Where we are
Our main church is now firmly established in a permanent location at Layibi Cell in Techo Ward, Bardege Layibi Division, Gulu City, following four years of renting. We continue to thrive as a center of faith, hope, and love, promoting sound Christian teachings and fostering transformation not only in Gulu City but also in Koro Barogal, Palenga, Omoro Town Council, and Orafoyo Village.
Our Future
We envision transformed communities where Christ is fully held as Lord, and his will done on earth as it is in heaven. Through healthy church planting
and community transformational initiatives we will take our place as the ‘’salt
of the earth and light to the world.’’ Our confidence rests on the truth that ‘’the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,)
full of grace and truth. ’John 1:14. With commitment to the great commission (Matt 28:18-20) our path and
responsibility is defined. ‘’ Him (Christ) we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all
wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus. To this end I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily.’’ Col 1:28-29.
